Based in Blenheim, Marlborough, Remac Consulting provides comprehensive resource management services to those seeking professional, committed and efficient expertise.

Our clients are property owners, business owners, developers, farmers, viticulturists, horticulturists, wine companies, marine farmers, legal professionals, building professionals, water companies, surveyors, engineers, architects, investors, community groups and district and regional councils. This diverse group all use Remac as platform to meet their obligations under the Resource Management Act 1991. We live and breathe that process – so you don’t have to.

Our professionally-qualified team have experience with due diligence, coastal permits in the Marlborough Sounds, industrial, residential,  rural and coastal subdivision,  plus a huge range of projects requiring land use consents, discharge permits and water permits for irrigation and commercial use.

We are an all-round resource management consulting firm, helping our clients across all the main areas of resource management services.

Ed has 14 years resource management and property development consulting experience in the Marlborough, Nelson, Tasman, Kaikoura, Buller, Hurunui and Canterbury districts, including time contracted to the Marlborough District Council as a Planning Officer.

Ed has managed the integration of a diverse range of development projects into the regional and national planning framework. Projects of note include rezoning of the Springlands Mall complex, expansion of the Cloudy Bay winery, expansion the Treasury Wine Estates / Matua winery and expansion of the Chateau Marlborough Hotel.

Ed comes from a rural background and combines significant experience with an understanding of practical considerations.

Ed holds a Bachelor of Resource Management from Lincoln University, is a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute and has recently completed certification in “Farm Dairy Effluent: System Design And Management” from Massey University.

When he’s not in work mode Ed can be found coaching a JAB team for the Moutere Rugby Club or diving, sailing and fishing in the Marlborough Sounds with his young family.
